On this day Tristan is opening up his amazing collection of rare and vintage drums to let us see, play and learn all about the famous drum makes & manafacturers. He will take us from the early 1900’s to the 1980’s and explain all about this period that we call the real golden age of drums and drum making.
He has vintage drums we can check out by Slingerland, Rogers, Ludwig, Ajax, Premier, Gretsch, Olympic, Boosey & Hawkes, Hayman and many, many more.
He is a fountain of drumming knowledge so feel free to ask him any questions you can think of!!
Then, in the afternoon I will play on those drum sets using the styles and techniques that grew from the late 1800’s right up to the present day. Showing us how far we have come in developing a modern drumming approach, and how we have taken some of the great drumming traditions with us along the way….There will be something in those older styles I guarantee you will want to steal and include in your own playing!
The day is open to only a few drummers so if you are interested please let me or Tristan know ASAP.
